Irish actress Katie McGrath set to hit the big-time with Jurassic World
Irish actress Katie McGrath is about to see her star soar after landing a role in Jurassic World.
The 30-year-old first hit the spotlight in BBC’s Merlin and has been steadily racking up high profile roles since.
She worked alongside Jonathan Rhys Meyers in both The Tudors and his latest NBC series Dracula and is now set to join fellow new additions Judy Greer and Lauren Lapkus in the fourth Jurassic Park movie.
The flick is to executive produced by the franchise's original director Steven Spielberg and it is no doubt a huge boost to McGrath’s career on the silver screen.
The cast already includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins and Jake Johnson.
Filming is expected to kick off later this year and will be released in cinemas in the summer of 2015.
Wicklow born McGrath recently finished production on Leading Lady, in which she plays an idealistic British drama school teacher, Jodi Rutherford, who persuades a cynical South African farmer to prepare her for a role in a major film as an Afrikaans war heroin.
