Ireland's leading ladies flock to Fifty Shades of Grey premiere

Some of Ireland’s leading ladies were out in force for tonight’s premiere of 50 Shades of Grey.

Caught trying to sneak into her seat was socialite Lorraine Keane, who laughed at the suggestion she might be a fan of the series.

“In other words, am I a dirty you know what?” she replied when asked if she had read any of the books.

“Pure and serene of course, but obviously a little bit dirty if I’m here to see the movie,” she said with a sly smile.

Meanwhile, a beaming Kathryn Thomas freely admitted she’d come for the “saucy bits”.

Having stomached the first book, the RTE star said she’d gave up on the racy series because it “felt like it was written by a 12-year-old”.

“The sex was good but I couldn’t stick with the book because I thought the writing was so horrendously.”

“I read it for all the saucy bits obviously.”

Meanwhile blogger Pippa O’Connor said she’d come just to see what all the fuss was about.

“Its all a bit of fun and it's great to see so much hype about it, very girly,” she told Independent.ie.
