Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas is taking diving lessons to make sure he impresses the ladies when diving off a boat in the new spin-off film of the hit E4 show.
The Inbetweeners Movie sees friends Will, Simon, Jay and Neil going on a boys' trip to Malia to celebrate the end of their A-Levels and, while Joe's character Simon is always making a fool of himself in the show as he tries to wow the girls, the actor is determined to look good in his stunt scene.
Joe told The Sun: "I want to make sure I can do it properly. I don't want to get injured."
He went on: "I've been practising on the five-metre board. I was going to go off the 7.5-metre platform but I have retired early because my shoulders were hurting.
"My coach taught Jason Statham when he was an international diver."
The film, which also stars Simon Bird, James Buckley and Blake Harrison is due to begin filming on location in the UK and Europe for six weeks on February 6, to be released in cinemas on August 19 2011.
The Inbetweeners Movie will show what the lads get up to on holiday with no parents, no teachers, no money and little chance with the ladies.
The film will also feature Emily Head as Carli, Belinda Stewart-Wilson as Will's Mum and Greg Davies as Mr Gilbert.
