Hutcherson shows off baking skills
Josh Hutcherson has revealed that he can be quite the culinary god.
The 18-year-old actor, who portrays baker's son Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games, has some kitchen skills which he would gladly put to use for the right woman.
"I can bake actually, which is a fun fact. I can bake a really nice apple pie and I have baked a few loaves of bread before, so I have a few tricks up my sleeve," he said.
However, he admits his cooking skills trump his artistic talents - unlike his character, who is good with the paintbrush.
"Painting not so much. I like to paint occasionally but it's usually very abstract and looks like a toddler did it," he said.
Josh - who stars alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth in the big-screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins' novel - revealed this role is the closest to his real self.
"I've never connected with a character as much as I have with Peeta - they felt like just characters before - so it was really good to do a role that is close to who I am as a person," he said.
"He believes strongly in maintaining what he believes in, and that's the biggest way: the being true to yourself. Growing up in the acting world, you have a lot of opportunities to become something different and change from what you believe in as a person. I was always very keen on not letting that happen."
