Kate Hudson has credited her positive body image to her A-list mum Goldie Hawn.
The Almost Famous star, who is expecting a baby with Muse singer Matt Bellamy, said her mother filled her with confidence from a young age.
"I have been able to deal with the pressures of Hollywood, thanks to those early lessons from my mum. She also advised me not to start going on crash diets or become obsessed with my weight," Kate told The Sun.
"My mum always celebrated the female body so she gave me confidence. I felt that when I started becoming a woman and getting my figure, it was celebrated."
Pregnant Kate, who also has a seven-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband, Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, vowed to use her mother's techniques on her own offspring.
"I will instil in my children the idea you should always be open about your body - though you should respect your body," she added.
