Hilary helped Minnie with accent
Minnie Driver says Hilary Swank helped her to master a tricky Massachusetts accent for their new film Conviction.
"Hilary's brilliant so we sort of kept each other going," the British star admitted before attending Veuve Clicquot's exclusive polo event in Los Angeles.
"[It was] hard, very, very hard indeed," she confessed.
"I [also] had an amazing dialect coach and I couldn't have done it without her," she insisted.
Conviction has been winning praise from the critics for its depiction of working mother Betty Anne Waters' fight to put herself through law school to represent her brother Kenny, who was wrongfully convicted of murder. Minnie play's Betty Anne's best friend in the film.
"It's an amazing film about faith and love and the changes we need to make in the justice system, it's a very prevalent, amazing movie," she explained.
