Helen Mirren China film fest bound
Dame Helen Mirren is off to Shanghai for the city's film festival to support her film Hitchcock.
The actress will attend the June film festival with her director husband Taylor Hackford who will introduce his own film, Parker, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Dame Helen, who played Alfred Hitchcock's wife Alma Reville opposite Anthony Hopkins in the Sacha Gervasi film Hitchcock, will meet the audience at a screening of the film on June 19.
The film follows the couple during the time that Hitchcock was making his classic horror film Psycho and the screening will be part of a showcase of Hitchcock's silent films from the 1920s.
Shanghai is mainland China's biggest film festival and is also being attended by directors Oliver Stone and Tom Hooper.
Dame Helen voices scary educator Dean Hardscrabble in the Pixar animation Monsters University, released in cinemas on July 12.
