Greengrass quits Chicago project
Paul Greengrass has dropped out of upcoming film The Trial Of The Chicago 7.
The Bourne filmmaker was in line to direct the movie about a real life group of activists, including Abbie Hoffman, who were charged in relation to protests that took place during the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
However, Variety reported that Greengrass has now exited the DreamWorks project.
It seems the director dropped out of the film over budgetary reasons.
DreamWorks apparently wanted to keep the budget to around 30 million dollars, while Greengrass wanted it to be higher.
The Trial Of The Chicago 7 was written by Aaron Sorkin.
