Jane Goldman could be teaming up with Tim Burton on the upcoming movie Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children.

The British writer - best known for her collaborations with Matthew Vaughn on Stardust, Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class - is said to have been offered the job of adapting Ransom Rigg's book for the big screen, Deadline reports.

Tim is still considering whether to direct the movie, which focuses on a 16-year-old boy who embarks on an adventure to find an abandoned Welsh orphanage with mysterious happenings.

Jane, the wife of Jonathan Ross, also co-wrote dramatic thriller The Debt starring Dame Helen Mirren and Sam Worthington and the upcoming period horror movie The Woman In Black with Daniel Radcliffe.

The 41-year-old is also said to be working on the script for Kick-Ass 2.
