Golden future for Mark Strong
Mark Strong has a golden future ahead of him, according to Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn.
The English actor plays mob boss Frank D'Amico in the filmmaker's new controversial comedy thriller about a ruthless pre-teen killer.
Matthew said: "He'll be like our Anthony Hopkins, I think every year, he's going to get more and more known and we'll probably see him with an Oscar one day."
He added: "He's a fabulous actor, what makes someone a great actor I don't know, it's like what makes someone a great musician..."
The Stardust director went on: "Ian McKellen was the narrator on Stardust and when he saw that Mark Strong was in it, he said, that's the greatest living actor in England right now, and that coming from Ian McKellen...
"I've never seen him on stage, apparently, he is knock out on stage as well, but he's the real deal."
Jonathan Ross's wife Jane Goldman wrote the screenplay of the film about a foul-mouthed girl assassin.
