Gadon for Dracula love interest
Sarah Gadon is in talks to play the female lead in new vampire thriller Dracula.
Welsh hunk Luke Evans - whose previous film appearances include ensemble blockbusters Immortals, The Three Musketeers and Clash Of The Titans - has already been cast in Universal's new horror project, previously known as Dracula Year Zero.
The Cosmopolis beauty is now in talks to star opposite him, Variety reported, in the debut feature film from director Gary Shore.
The story is apparently a mixture of mythology and history and tells of a young prince who, when the lives of his wife and child are put in danger by a bloodthirsty sultan, risks his soul to save them, and in the process becomes the first vampire.
Universal produced the classic 1931 adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula, and this latest project aims to set the tone for the modern age with a historical-oriented origin story. It is being produced by Michael De Luca, whose previous work includes the modern vampire franchise Blade.
Canadian actress Sarah worked with David Cronenberg on A Dangerous Method, Cosmopolis and the upcoming Map To The Stars.
