Ralph Fiennes is in talks to join Wes Anderson's new film The Grand Budapest Hotel.

The Coriolanus star is said to be considering the role of M Gustave, the "composed hotel concierge", reported Variety.

Angela Lansbury has reportedly cancelled her part in the film, due to her commitments to the stage production of Driving Miss Daisy, said The Hollywood Reporter.

Bill Murray and Jude Law are already on board with the movie, which Wes has finished writing and described as a "Euro movie".

Previous collaborators Ed Norton, Bruce Willis, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Owen Wilson, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody and Willem Dafoe are also rumoured to appear.

Johnny Depp was previously rumoured to have a role, but the filmmaker denied the stories, saying: "Johnny is somebody who I would love to work with at some point, but he's not going to be in this movie."

Ralph, who is best known for playing Harry Potter villain Lord Voldemort as well as Amon Goeth in Schindler's List, will next be seen in Mike Newell's Great Expectations, which will close the London Film Festival on October 21.

He is also starring opposite Daniel Craig in Sam Mendes' Skyfall.
