Fassbender: I hated David's hair

Michael Fassbender has revealed that he is excited about returning to the world of Prometheus for a second film.

But while the 12 Years A Slave actor said he can't wait to reprise the role of android David in the sci-fi sequel, he admitted he isn't looking forward to having his hair styled in that way again.

"I'd love to go on that journey again. I had so much fun with David," he told Empire. "Even though that hair made him look like a £5 rent boy! I mean, it was perfect for the part. I just didn't like it on my head."

Michael admitted that he and co-star Noomi Rapace, who played Dr Elizabeth Shaw, are contracted to return, although he is in the dark about it.

"I have no idea. They tell me that it's going to happen," he said.

The 36-year-old said he can understand why Ridley Scott's film stirs up much discussion.

"The worst thing that you can have is indifference. The great thing about Prometheus is people love it and they hate it," he said.

"For me, I think Ridley did an amazing job with that story, with such a high concept - where have we come from? And I like the fact that it leaves a lot of questions unanswered because you can't fill in those blanks. It's better for the imagination of the viewer to have to fill in the blanks themselves.

He added: "But the thing is, I also get it because Alien is so close to people that when you f*** with the DNA of that, they are going to have an opinion."

Transcendence screenwriter Jack Paglen was reported to be in talks to write the sequel after Damon Lindelof, who penned the first film with Jon Spaihts, passed.
