Colin Farrell could be sharing screen time with Jessica Brown Findlay in supernatural drama Winter's Tale.
The Irish star has apparently been offered the male lead in Akiva Goldsman's directorial debut, which would see him playing a thief who an ill young woman is smitten with after he breaks into her New York mansion, reported Variety.
Downton Abbey actress Jessica, best known for playing Lady Sybil Crawley in the ITV period drama, is already on board to portray the dying woman.
Russell Crowe and Will Smith are also reported to be in supporting roles in the period thriller, which is set in both the 19th century and contemporary times and is based on Mark Helprin's 1983 novel.
Shooting is set to begin in New York on October 15.
Colin - who next stars in the Total Recall remake alongside Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale - has not entered talks about the role, which Tom Hiddleston, Aaron Johnson, Liam Hemsworth, Luke Evans, Benjamin Walker and Garrett Hedlund were also in the frame for.
