Farrell, Butler and Fox up for film
Colin Farrell, Gerard Butler and Matthew Fox are all said to be in the frame to play a CIA agent in a planned movie franchise.
The three Hollywood heartthrobs are the frontrunners to star as counter-terrorism agent Mitch Rapp in Consent To Kill, reports Deadline Hollywood.
However, according to the site, representatives for other actors have also been consulted about the project and no offers have been made.
Consent To Kill is based on one of Vince Flynn's novels about Rapp.
The author penned several books about the character, and it is thought the political action thriller would be the start of a new film franchise.
Antoine Fuqua is set to direct. The filmmaker has been at the helm of movies including Shooter and Training Day.
