Lautner mania hit London as hundreds of fans battled the heavy downpours to catch a glimpse of Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner.
The 19-year-old, best recognised for his performance as werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight Saga films, admitted to being left speechless as he came to face with the screaming crowds, many of whom had waited for hours outside the BFI Imax in London, at the European premiere of his latest thriller Abduction.
"This is unbelievable. I have no words," he said on the rain-sodden red carpet.
"I want to say thank you to them all because the support is the reason I'm here today."
Medics were called to see to a couple of fans who felt giddy and shaken after their encounter.
Lautner spent time signing autographs and posing for photos with the fans, who chanted and screamed out his name to deafening levels.
His Abduction co-star Lily Collins revealed she had experienced Lautner mania first-hand on set.
"One night there were around 800 fans waiting outside for Taylor. It was 5am when we finished but he still went out and signed photos for everyone," she recalled.
"That shows how dedicated he is to his fans."
The fast-paced action adventure, which also stars Jason Isaacs, Sigourney Weaver and Alfred Molina, opens in cinemas on September 28.
