Fans are sharing touching photographs of Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher together
After the death of Hollywood icon Debbie Reynolds, just one day after her daughter Carrie Fisher, fans of the stars have taken to Twitter to share touching photographs of the pair.
Actress, writer and mental health activist, Carrie Fisher died of a heart attack on Tuesday. Her mother Debbie died of a reported stroke on Wednesday after telling her son, just 15 minutes before passing away, "that she would like to be with Carrie again".
“The last thing she said this morning was that she was very, very sad about losing Carrie and that she would like to be with her again,” her son Todd Fisher said. “15 minutes later she suffered a severe stroke.”
He added: “The only thing we’re taking solace in is that what she wanted to do was take care of her daughter, which is what she did best."
On Friday, Carrie Fisher reportedly suffered a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles. Reynolds posted on her Facebook page on Christmas Day that her daughter was in a stable condition.
Carrie died two days later.
On Tuesday, Reynolds commented on her daughter's death on Facebook, writing: “Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter. I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop. Love Carries Mother.”
Since the heartbreaking news of Reynolds' death was made public, tributes have been flooding social media from fans as they share images of the famous mother and daughter duo.
