'Family Guy' creator Seth MacFarlane will host the 2013 Oscars ceremony.

Oscars producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron made the announcement yesterday.

"His performing skills blend perfectly with our ideas for making the show entertaining and fresh," the producers said.
