Ezra Miller says no to Akira role
Ezra Miller has revealed he will not be starring in the Akira movie alongside Kristen Stewart.
The We Need To Talk About Kevin star denied he had been in talks to take the role of Tetsuo in the long-developing big-screen remake of the Japanese manga, which the Twilight actress is rumoured to be appearing in.
"It's not true. That, I can assure you, will not be a reality," he told Moviefone.
But he added: "It's a beautiful Japanese epic and I think it'll be a very entertaining, fun film, but no, it's not my next move."
Tron: Legacy actor Garrett Hedlund is on board as lead Kaneda, while offers have apparently gone out to Gary Oldman, Helena Bonham Carter and Keira Knightley.
Akira, which has been written by Steve Kloves and will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, is expected to start shooting in early 2012.
Ezra will next be seen alongside Emma Watson and Logan Lerman in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.
