Eric Idle's Not The Messiah will play in 18 more cinemas

Eric Idle's staged show Not The Messiah (He's A Very Naughty Boy) will now play in a further 18 cinemas.

The new dates have been added due to extra demand for the filmed stage performance, a comedic oratorio inspired by Monty Python's The Life Of Brian.

Not The Messiah (He's A Very Naughty Boy), starring Eric and featuring guest appearances from fellow Monty Pythoners Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam, Carol Cleveland and Neil Innes, will be shown in cinemas around the country, including Portsmouth, Reading and Preston, for one night only on Thursday.

"It is rare you get to be silly on a mass scale. The audience love it because they're unaccustomed to laughter in a musical and symphonic situation so you bring laughter into the concert hall, which is always a joy and a nice thing to do," Eric said.

:: Not The Messiah (He's A Very Naughty Boy) will be shown at cinemas nationwide for one night only on March 25.
