Ewan totally up for Trainspotting 2
Ewan McGregor has reportedly said he is "totally up for" starring in the Trainspotting sequel, Porno.
The actor, who made his name in the adaptation of Irvine Welsh's book Trainspotting, opened up at a screening of the 1996 film, says Metro.
Ewan, 42, said he would love to return to his role as Renton in an adaptation of the Irvine Welsh follow up Porno, which Danny Boyle wants to direct again.
He said: "It's funny - the novel, Porno, is set 10 years after Trainspotting but I wasn't ready to do it then, for lots of reasons.
"But now there's talk of it happening and I'm totally up for it. I'd be so chuffed to be back on set with everybody and I think it would be an extraordinary experience."
Danny said in an interview with Jonathan Ross that he wanted to be able to release the Trainspotting sequel in 2016.
He said: "It's the same actors playing the same parts but 20 years later. Like a 7 Up, 14 Up, 21 Up, I always find those things amazing.
"Seeing time pass with people that you're familiar with... Ewan to go back to Renton, Bobby Carlyle to go back to Begbie, I'd like to see that."
