Alice Eve can't wait to start filming Star Trek 2, because she will be reunited with Benedict Cumberbatch.
The duo, who previously worked together in 2006 comedy Starter For 10, are the newcomers in JJ Abrams' eagerly awaited sequel, in which the Sherlock star is tipped to play the main villain.
"I'm very excited to work with him again. He's so very funny, Ben," she told MTV News.
"I don't know if you remember his character in Starter For 10, but he was so funny. Like king of the geeks, but he did it so well, and I found a lot of that hard to get through because he was so funny. I like him very much."
Alice - who appeared in Sex And The City 2 and has a role in the forthcoming Men In Black III - admitted to feeling some responsibility towards the fans.
"Obviously, there is a huge legacy there with Star Trek and the fanatics, so hopefully they'll be satisfied," she added.
While she declined to reveal anything about her character, the 29-year-old is thrilled to get the role in the blockbuster, which is scheduled for a 2013 release.
"I feel incredibly lucky. It's not once-in-a-lifetime, but it is rare," she said.
