Eva Mendes strips with purpose
Eva Mendes has insisted being comfortable with her body doesn't mean she would agree to anything and everything.
The 36-year-old actress has stripped naked for a Peta anti-fur campaign and a Calvin Klein advertisement, as well as posing for sexy photo shoots, and insist she thinks carefully about what she is taking her clothes off for.
Eva said: "Certainly I'm extremely comfortable, but it doesn't mean that I'm always ready and willing.
"Just because I'm comfortable, doesn't mean that it's not very well thought out. And it's part of the allure to make everything look like an accident. But trust me, as a female in this industry, nothing is an accident, I leave nothing to chance."
The Ghost Rider star doesn't feel objectified by being thought of as a sex symbol.
She said: "From the photo shoots to the roles that I've played, I've never felt objectified or exploited and that's something that's very important to me, because I think that's just a terrible thing to do to women. I feel like we have much more control than we acknowledge sometimes."
Eva, who appears in Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant and the forthcoming Last Night with Keira Knightley, also thinks carefully about the roles she plays.
She revealed: "As a woman in this industry you're limited. And as a woman with an ethnic background you're limited.
"So the roles that I really want don't always come my way, but the people I want to work with do, and that is something that I always jump to."
