Eva Green prefers intense roles
Eva Green is resisting calls to play a princess.
The Bond star, 30, likes edgy roles, but the people around her would like her to smile a little more.
She said: "I like extreme, intense roles. There's always something wrong with my characters."
But she said of those around her: "They tell me, 'Play a princess! You have to play a princess soon,' by which they mean, 'nice and smiling and 'I love you.'"
Eva, who played Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale opposite Daniel Craig, said she loves playing strong, even dangerous women and is most proud of her role in the 2009 drama Cracks.
The Bond star plays the enigmatic diving instructor at a 1930s girls school in the film, just being released on DVD.
Eva said: "It's the movie I'm the most proud of. It's about obsession. And I play such a cuckoo character."
