Del Toro to join Guardians movie?
Benicio Del Toro is rumoured to be the latest addition to Guardians Of The Galaxy.
The Oscar-winning Traffic star is tipped to play "a character that is built to be part of future Marvel films", although his role is being kept under wraps, reported Deadline.
If the reports are correct, it would be the Puerto Rican actor's first sci-fi blockbuster. The 46-year-old had been in talks to play the villain in JJ Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness, a role which went to Benedict Cumberbatch.
James Gunn is assembling a star-studded cast for Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy, which already has Glenn Close, Zoe Saldana and John C Reilly attached.
Former Doctor Who star Karen Gillan, Hugh Laurie and Ken Watanabe are also reportedly being considered for other roles in the film.
Shooting is set to begin in coming months in London, for a release in summer 2014.
Benicio, who has starred in Che, 21 Grams and Sin City, will appear in Terrence Malick's upcoming as-yet-untitled film and is attached to Paul Thomas Anderson's thriller Inherent Vice.
He will next be seen in drama Jimmy P: Psychotherapy Of A Plains Indian, which had its world premiere in competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
