Adam Deacon has revealed that he would like to be in a Disney film.

The Bafta-winning star of British movies such as Kidulthood, Anuvahood and Comedown has already headed out to Hollywood, and reckons he has what it takes to win a role in a family movie.

"I'd love to see a Disney film one day where you've got a character with a London accent, and I think now's the time for that," he said.

"My main aim will be to take what I'm doing here and kind of take it into an American film. There's so much eyes on London due to the Olympics. Hopefully now's the time and it's all about them new ideas, but at the same time I'd love to break my home town first."

Adam also praised British stars such as Ben Drew (rapper Plan B) for making moves into movies, and admitted they were due to reunite on screen following their collaboration on Adulthood.

"It's great to see so many actors I've grown up with take the initiative and do their own work, like Ben Drew. Ben was going to be in Anuvahood and I was going to be in Ill Manors. We started filming both at the same time, so there was no way of getting around that," said the 29-year-old.

"I'm really gutted about that because I would have loved to get Ben in our film, and vice versa. More and more writers that know that world are writing their own work, and that's got to be a good thing."

Ben confirmed: "He was going to play Riz Ahmed's role and I'd agreed to do a cameo for Anuvahood, but both films were shooting at the exact same time."

:: Comedown is out on DVD and Blu-ray from March 11.
