Dame Helen reveals crush on Willis
Dame Helen Mirren has revealed she has a big crush on Bruce Willis as they braved heavy rain for the UK premiere of their latest film, Red.
The Oscar-winning actress, 65, waved a white handkerchief as she told reporters at London's Royal Festival Hall: "I still have a crush on Bruce - he gave me his hanky and I'm going to keep it and protect it."
Bruce, 55, who plays retired CIA agent Frank Moses, returned the compliment to Dame Helen, who plays sharp-shooting assassin Victoria Winslow in the action adventure.
"Helen is great. She's so sexy, beautiful and gracious. I'm flattered that she has a crush on me - I'm a big fan of hers," he said.
"I feel like I'm blushing - am I red?" he joked.
Dame Helen, who is married to American director Taylor Hackford, looked elegant in a black and red Bruce Oldfield gown.
Other celebrities who dressed in red for the premiere included Jermaine Jackson, The Ting Tings, Dragons' Den's Deborah Meaden and The X Factor's Brian Friedman.
In Red, which stands for Retired and Extremely Dangerous, Bruce's character decides to track down his former cohorts - played by Dame Helen, Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich - after discovering he is being targeted by new CIA agents.
The film opens in cinemas on Friday.
