Cruz's little flirtation with Big
Chris Noth wished his scene with Penelope Cruz could have been longer in Sex And The City 2.
In the highly anticipated follow-up, Chris' character - Big, now a married man - finds temptation to stray in the form of smouldering banker Carmen, played by the Spanish actress.
"I thought it was far too short! But it was a lot of fun - she's very warm and down to earth and it was a really pleasant flirtation," he revealed at the film's press conference in New York.
He added: "But it's also a fun tease for the audience who think, 'Oh, he's going back to his old ways! I know he is!' which is why it was written, because people like the big wolf part of him."
Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays his wife Carrie, said Penelope was an essential part of the film.
"I think she's so important in this movie not just because she's a massive movie star and a delight to stare at, but she makes Carrie Bradshaw say something very, very, very important," she said.
"She makes Carrie introduce herself as Carrie Preston. It's such great, great writing and it's not about Carrie being threatened by another woman.
"It's about Carrie and Big, and there couldn't be a better person to step in and provoke that conversation than Penelope Cruz."
:: Sex And The City 2 will be released on May 28.
