Corden to save Knightley with song
James Corden has signed up to play Keira Knightley's best friend in new film Can A Song Save Your Life.
The Gavin And Stacey star - riding high on his Broadway success after winning a Tony award for his performance in One Man, Two Guv'nors - is joining Hollywood stars Keira, Mark Ruffalo and Hailee Steinfeld and Maroon 5's Adam Levine, in the movie, Deadline.com reported.
Keira stars as a singer who moves to New York with her boyfriend to try and launch her career, only for him to dump her once he hits the big time. James will play her best friend, who is there to help her through the split.
Can A Song Save Your Life is being directed by John Carney who made the Oscar-winning quirky musical Once, about an Irish busker and an immigrant who meet in Dublin.
James - who is currently celebrating his Tony win on holiday in Florida with fiancee Julia Carey and son Max - is also set to play Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts in biopic One Chance.
