George Clooney couldn't resist trying to make people laugh on the set of his latest Oscar-nominated film, co-star Shailene Woodley has revealed.
The Hollywood superstar may have restrained himself by not playing any major pranks while filming The Descendants, but still found time to crack jokes and "be a goofball" with his mobile phone.
"The fart application on his phone would come out quite frequently. On the iPhone, there are applications where you can blow people's faces up, make them smaller and distort them, so there was a lot of that going on, and a lot of funny everyday jokes that his wittiness came up with in a blink of an eye, or a spin of a dime," recalled the 20-year-old.
Shailene - who has received a number of gongs for her performance as George's screen daughter Alexandra in Alexander Payne's heart-rending drama, which is out now - admitted she attempted to rebut his jokes.
"I would try sometimes, and miserably fail because I am just so not as witty as he is. The man can come up with a joke in less than two milliseconds - it blows my mind," she said.
The actress revealed how director Alexander and George would play off one another.
"Alexander is more quiet and introverted, while George is more loud. But Alexander is just as much of a big goofball as George is," she added.
"I learnt a lot of witty jokes from them, and I intend to use them on other people."
