Clive Owen and Almost Famous star Billy Crudup have been cast as the lead roles in Guillaume Canet's Blood Ties.
The new crime thriller will be the English-language debut from the Cesar award-winning French director of acclaimed thriller Tell No One, which included Kristin Scott Thomas among its cast.
Billy will play a younger brother who has to ask his convict older brother, played by Clive, to go back into the underworld to help out the family, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Guillaume's Oscar-winning partner Marion Cotillard, with whom he has a baby son, has been cast as one of the love interests in the film, along with Mila Kunis.
Zoe Saldana and The Godfather's James Caan are also on board for the movie.
Guillaume co-wrote the script for Blood Ties with We Own The Night writer-director James Gray. The film is due to begin shooting in April in New York.
