Clint wants Cooper for Star Is Born
Clint Eastwood apparently wants Bradley Cooper to play Beyonce's leading man in his new film A Star Is Born.
The film, which will be the fifth version of the musical since the original What Price Hollywood? was released in 1932, was originally scheduled to start shooting in February, but Beyonce's pregnancy and the birth of her daughter Blue Ivy delayed the start date.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale and Will Smith have all reportedly turned down the role, and Tom Cruise was most recently linked to the film. But Variety reports Clint is now "eyeing" Bradley for the part.
Bradley has a very busy schedule. He is currently preparing to shoot the final instalment of The Hangover franchise.
The Hangover star is also reported to have entered negotiations to star in J Blakeson's period crime thriller Bad Blood And Trouble, which will be filmed next year. He would play a Miami detective in love with a married woman whose husband has been targeted by gangsters.
Bradley has two movies showing at the Toronto Film Festival next month, Silver Linings Playbook and crime drama The Place Beyond The Pines. He is also due to star in action rom-com Hit And Run later this month.
After he wraps The Hangover Part III, he is due to star with Jeremy Renner and Amy Adams in an untitled film.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that John Goodman is in talks to make a small appearance in The Hangover Part III, which starts shooting next month.
