Charlize Theron set to invade as she signs up for new Viking drama

CHARLIZE Theron has signed up to star in a TV drama about the Vikings – set in Scotland.

The South African actress will take part in the pilot for ABC show ‘The Clan’, which will be set around the native Scottish clans battling Viking invaders.

Oscar-nominated writer Terry George will script, direct and executive produce the project – he previously directed ‘Hotel Rwanda’

Theron will also be an executive producer through her production company Denver & Delilah.

The ‘Monster’ actress has also been linked with playing the journalist Marie Colvin in a movie adaptation of the deceased journalist’s life.

She will next be seen on the big screen in ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’, which is currently filming in Namibia.

It will be the fourth instalment of the film franchise after Mel Gibson starred in a trilogy of the movie in the 1980s.
