Cave's Great Expectations thrills
Jessie Cave was excited to grab a role in Great Expectations.
The Harry Potter actress plays Biddy in Mike Newell's big-screen adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel, which reunites her with fellow co-stars Helena Bonham Carter (Miss Havisham), Ralph Fiennes (Magwitch) and Robbie Coltrane (Mr Jaggers).
"It was lovely to see a lot of familiar faces from Harry Potter and Mike Newell is a wonderful man," she said.
She added: "As an utter bookworm, it was thrilling to be in a film adaptation of one of my favourite books. I think it's going to be a beautiful film. My sister Bebe is in it too playing younger Biddy."
Jessie, who appeared in BBC sitcom Grandma's House, is best known for playing Ron Weasley's girlfriend Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter films and revealed that she is good friends with some of her castmates, especially Evanna Lynch, who has featured on her PinDippy website.
"I am in touch with a few - it would be a shame not to be. I'm close with Evanna, who plays Luna Lovegood. I have used her for her talent in a few of my PinDippy videos," she said.
The actress, who will hit the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her debut one-woman show Bookworm, admitted she has yet to visit the Harry Potter Studio Tour.
"Not yet but I have been sent photos of my wand and I can't wait," she added.
