Carey Mulligan's Bafta hangover
Carey Mulligan confessed to feeling rather dazed at the Elle Style Awards after a night of partying to celebrate her Bafta win.
The 24-year-old star of An Education, who was named Best Actress at the Baftas on Sunday night and Actress Of The Year at the Elle Style Awards on Monday night, admitted: "I'm hungover, my brain's not even working - we did the after party - it was great, and it was very late."
She added: "We did photos of everybody with the Bafta in front of their face so we've got about 20 photos of people just holding the Bafta like this (holding her hand over her face) - it's getting deleted I think!"
Asked if her style had changed over the last year, during which she has experienced a meteoric rise to fame, Carey said: "Not in my own life - you go to things and you dress a certain way to fit the event but usually I wear pyjamas and my slippers, so no, I think it's just for work really."
The young British actress, who has been called the new Audrey Hepburn, revealed she didn't have style icons she tried to emulate.
She said: "I don't really have any, I'm not stylish myself. I like classic elegance. I'm simple, I'm not too mad about showing too much."
