Steve Carell has appeared on a talk show as his Despicable Me alter ego Felonious Gru.
The Office star dressed up as the animated character that he voices for The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and stayed in character throughout his appearance.
Steve was promoting the sequel to the 2010 animated hit Despicable Me, where he voiced the main character.
Wearing a bald cap, prosthetic beak and striped scarf, Steve delighted fans of the "world's #2 villain".
He said: "I came all the way to Los Angeles because they don't have good Starbucks in Albuquerque."
Later he disco danced in the aisles to the Bee Gees classic You Should Be Dancing.
In Despicable Me 2, Gru is recruited by the Anti-Villain League to deal with a new super villain.
Kristen Wiig, Ken Jeong and Miranda Cosgrove also voice characters.
The film is due to be released later this summer.
