Prosecutors have asked for Wesley Snipes' appeal bond to be revoked.

The Florida prosecutors want the judge to order the Blade actor to surrender and begin serving a three-year sentence for wilfully failing to file federal income tax returns.

An appeals court decided the star had received a fair trial and sentence.

The motion was filed on Wednesday in federal court in Ocala.

The 47-year-old was granted an appellate bond. He was allowed to remain free after US District Judge William Terrell Hodges imposed a 36-month sentence for the tax-related misdemeanour convictions.
