Cage and Co sign up for Croods 2
Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds and Emma Stone have all signed up to reprise their voice roles in The Croods 2.
The first movie saw Emma voice a teen girl named Eep, who longed to see the world but her overprotective father, voiced by Nicolas, wouldn't let her leave their cave. But when the cave was destroyed they were forced to venture out, with the help of a guy named Guy, played by Ryan.
Directors Chris Sanders and Kirk DeMicco confirmed to ComingSoon.net they were planning a sequel to the hit 3-D animation which took 585 million US dollars (£370 million) at the global box office.
"There's not much to talk about yet," they said of the next instalment, "because we've got a big lump of clay and we're forming it as we speak."
But DeMicco promised: "[There will be] lots of good creatures. We've got creatures that never got into the first movie. We're going to take a very, very close look at those."
