Bullock relaxed about Oscar outfit
Sandra Bullock is feeling pretty chilled out about her Oscar outfit this year.
"I'm relaxed about it because it's someone else's job to finely stitch thousands of pleats into a gorgeous thing to make you look divine," she said at the Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon.
"If I have to wear a trash bag, I'll belt it with rhinestones and make it work."
"I'm not panicking because there are so many beautiful things out there, someone will not want to wear something and I'll get it!"
The star is one of the favourites to receive the Best Actress gong for her role in dramatic film The Blind Side, but maintains she didn't expect a nomination.
"It was amazing. I literally was asleep when the phone rang," she recalled. "I don't think anyone expects a nomination. I didn't want to be one of those people who would be crushed when it didn't come."
Sandra confessed that her Oscar nod has made her think slightly differently about her acting career.
"It scares me more than anything because I think 'what do I do next?'" she said. "I've been thinking a lot about that. I don't know what could possibly compare to this moment or this energy so I've decided not to look at work until this is all over so I can make a real judgement. Judge the way I always have which is to produce interesting films.
"I don't want to stop that. Because of this honour and what I've been given these last couple of months, I really feel an obligation to better my work."
