Bullock for Clooney-backed film?
Sandra Bullock could be reunited with her Gravity co-star George Clooney on a new political comedy.
The Oscar-winning actress is "in early talks" to star in Our Brand Is Crisis, which George and his producing partner Grant Heslov are backing for Warner Bros, reported The Wrap.
The pair apparently discussed the film in depth while they were promoting Alfonso Cuaron's outer space drama Gravity, and Sandra is tipped to play 'Calamity' Jane Bodine, a retired American political consultant.
The film is based on Rachel Boynton's 2005 documentary, which focused on the use of American political campaign techniques used by President Clinton's former consultants James Carville and Stan Greenberg in Bolivia. It has been adapted for the big screen by Peter Straughan.
It is not certain if George - who is directing Monuments Men - would co-star in the project, although he is not expected to direct.
Grant previously told The Wrap that the film is top priority, saying: "It is at the very top of our list. Everything sort of has its time, and I feel like with Our Brand Is Crisis, its time has come."
When asked if Sandra would be involved, he said: "I don't know."
Sandra, who received a SAG award nomination for her performance in Gravity, will next be heard in the Despicable Me spin-off Minions. The 49-year-old has also been linked to comedy caper The Perfect Heist, which will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura.
