Bruce Willis in in talks to join shoot-em-up Five Against The Bullet, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has revealed.
The Die Hard star is set to reunite with his Red producer on the forthcoming action thriller, which hasn't announced any other cast members or director as yet.
"Bruce Willis is probably going to do it. But there are five really great characters, so that's what's really fun," Lorenzo told Collider, without naming the other cast members.
"There's actually a sixth character that is sort of a cameo that's really interesting too. I think we're going to be able to put together a very eclectic international cast and Sony is going to do the picture."
Written by Alex Litvak, the film is said to follow a Mexican politician, who decides to hire five bodyguards to protect him after his father is slaughtered by a local drug cartel.
"I think I have a shot at making a movie that will pay homage to movies like The Wild Bunch or The Magnificent Seven. It's a hardcore shoot-em-up with men of questionable morality coming up against maybe their humanity as a result of it," continued Lorenzo.
"I'm really excited about that because those movies are really hard to make because they can veer into just an action picture or they can speak to you in a way that's different, where you can get underneath the character. Hopefully we can pull it off."
