Brad Pitt obtains restraining order against red carpet 'attacker'
Brad Pitt has reportedly obtained a restraining order against the man accused of attacking him at a movie premiere Wednesday.
The actor accompanied partner Angelina Jolie to the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie Maleficent when a man allegedly lunged at him, hitting him in the face before security hauled him off.
The man, identified by LAPD as Vitalii Sediuk, was subsequently hauled away in handcuffs from Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre and arrested on suspicion of battery.
TMZ now reports Brad as obtained an emergency temporary restraining order against him.
Law enforcement sources tell the website the star was not hurt in the attack and was later seen signing autographs for fans.
However, the accused has been ordered to stay at least 500 feet from Brad for the next five days.
The case has reportedly been sent to the Los Angeles City Attorney for possible prosecution.
Vitalii has a criminal record.
TMZ reports he remains on three years probation for crashing last year’s Grammys after appearing on stage and attempting to accept an award presented to Adele.
And in 2012 he angered Will Smith when he tried to kiss him on the lips at the Men in Black 3 premiere. The star responded by slapping Vitalii.
He's also surprised A-listers such as Bradley Cooper and Leonardo DiCaprio by running at them on the red carpet.
Spokespersons for Brad and Disney have not yet commented on the latest incident.
