Emily Blunt has revealed how starstruck she was by Sir Anthony Hopkins.

The Young Victoria actress - who stars with the legendary Oscar winner in The Wolfman - joked that she followed him around like a "lovestruck teenager" while they were making the movie, reports the Daily Express.

Speaking at the film's Hollywood premiere, Emily apparently revealed that they became friends after the actor invited her over for "baked potatoes topped with baked beans and cheese" to discuss their characters.

"We were pals; he's very cool, he's the best - I was riveted by him, I just followed him around like a lovestruck teenager," said the actress, who is engaged to actor John Krasinski.

"I would sit around and talk to him between takes and he'd tell us wonderful stories. He is very wise, very open and incredibly kind. He hasn't lost that childlike enthusiasm for creating a part."

Emily admitted she got so engrossed in watching Sir Anthony that she forgot her own lines.

"It's masterful to watch - and it's distracting. I'd watch him in the scene and then think, 'Oh, I forgot my line!'"
