Binoche kicks off Berlin Film Fest
Juliette Binoche's film Nobody Wants The Night is set to open the 65th annual Berlin International Film Festival.
Nobody Wants The Night is the first of 19 contenders for the event's top Golden Bear honour and stars Juliette as the wife of an Arctic explorer.
It is due to premiere today, kicking off the year's first major European film festival.
Rivals include Terrence Mallick's Knight of Cups, Werner Herzog's Queen of the Desert, and films from Vietnam, Guatemala and Romania.
This year's seven-member festival jury is headed by American director Darren Aronofsky. Winners of the Golden Bear are notoriously hard to predict; last year, the honour went to Chinese director Diao Yinan's Black Coal, Thin Ice.
