Bill Nighy has confirmed that he will not be in Pirates Of The Caribbean 4.

The British actor, who next stars in Wild Target alongside Rupert Grint and Emily Blunt, is "pretty sure" he won't reprise his role as Captain Davy Jones alongside Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow) in the fourth instalment of the swashbuckling blockbuster franchise.

"I'm pretty sure I'm not in Pirates 4 as I would have got a call about it by now - I think they've got into the future and I'm dead," he said.

He doesn't mind because he feels he has "done his time".

"I'd like to be in Pirates 4, (but) I've done my time and it was a lovely experience. It's a really sweet job," he added.

Bill had initial doubts about his Pirates role, which was created by a lot of CGI.

"It was very daunting at first because I was in grey computer pyjamas and everybody else got swashbuckling costumes. I had a skull cap with a white bobble on the top with white spots all over my face, which made me look like I had a skin condition," he recalled.

"It was lonely for the first couple of days, then they introduce you to Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom, who I think is impossibly good-looking."

:: Wild Target will be released on June 18.
