Bay: New cast for Transformers 4
Michael Bay says that Transformers 4 will feature new faces.
The director also confirmed that the movie will be his last outing with the giant robots, following the previous three films.
He told LA Times' Hero Complex blog that the fourth film "will include some redesign of the robots and an entirely new cast", following Shia LaBeouf's suggestion that he was "done" with the series.
Josh Duhamel previously said that Shia would not return for the fourth flick, and he may not reprise his own role of Captain William Lennox either.
"I don't think anybody's doing it. I know Shia's not doing it. I don't think Tyrese or Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] or anybody else is doing it," he told E! News.
Michael - who is filming black comedy Pain And Gain with Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson - added that he will set the franchise up "for the next guy", hinting that there could be a fifth Transformers film in the future.
Back in February, Michael Bay said he would return to direct Transformers 4 and would work with Steven Spielberg on the project.
"Steven Spielberg and I are working on a whole new re-imagining of Transformers, the fourth instalment. We have been working on the idea for a few months. I'm excited about where it's headed," he said on his official website.
