Baron Cohen linked to Alice sequel
Sacha Baron Cohen is in negotiations to play the villain in the sequel to Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland.
Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska are already signed up to return as Alice and The Mad Hatter in the follow-up to Disney's 2010 billion-dollar blockbuster, which will be directed by The Muppets' James Bobin.
The sequel is to be titled Through The Looking Glass and based on Lewis Carroll's own follow-up story.
Baron Cohen is said to be in "early talks" to star in the film. Variety reported he will play the villain of the film, whose details are unknown.
But Bleeding Cool claims the villain is named Time and added that Bobin and the studio had been looking at both male and female actors for the part.
If Baron Cohen is cast in the film - due for release in 2016 - it would reunite him with Depp, who he starred with in Tim Burton's musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
Carroll's book Through The Looking Glass And What Alice Found There sees the heroine on a race across a giant chess board in a bid to become a queen.
