Banderas gets a Love-ly new role
Antonio Banderas has signed onto He Loves Me.
The comedy drama by Little Miss Sunshine's Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris can also boast appearances from British star Steve Coogan, True Blood's Deborah Ann Woll, Elliot Gould and Chris Messina.
Fox Searchlight studio confirmed the new castings to LA Times' 24 Frames.
Paul Dano plays Calvin, a novelist who tries to overcome writer's block by penning letters to his dream woman - played by his real-life girlfriend and the film's screenwriter Zoey Kazan.
Antonio has been cast as the boyfriend of his mother (Annette Bening), while funnyman Steve is his pompous author rival and Elliot as his therapist.
Deborah, known for playing Jessica Hamby on the vampire series, will play Calvin's ex-girlfriend, and Chris will be his brother.
The film is set, and has begun shooting, in Los Angeles.
