Alec Baldwin is said to have signed up to star in Woody Allen's next film.
The legendary director has chosen Rome as the location for his latest comedy and will be teaming up with 30 Rock star Alec for the first time since the 1990 movie Alice, Deadline reports.
Oscar-nominated Social Network star Jesse Eisenberg, currently starring in the new animated film Rio, is also apparently in line for a lead role.
Alec is soon set to appear alongside Tom Cruise, Mary J Blige, Russell Brand and Julianne Hough in Rock Of Ages, Adam Shankman's adaptation of the Broadway musical for Warner Bros.
Meanwhile, the actor recently claimed the hit TV series 30 Rock would be coming to an end next year.
The Golden Globe award-winning star - who has played Jack Donaghy in Tina Fey's NBC sitcom since 2006 - has made no secret of his plans to leave the show in 2012, but he told the New York Times earlier this month that the whole show will finish in 2012.
