Twilight star Ashley Greene has been signed up to play a female Oliver Twist.
The film adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens novel was announced at the Toronto Film Festival, Variety reports.
Ashley, 24, will play Olivia, a 19-year-old among a group of highly trained street urchins, in Oliver Twisted.
The group find themselves caught in a turf war between warring criminal factions after accepting a kidnapping job.
Ashley - Alice Cullen in the Twilight films - is currently starring with Olivia Wilde, Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Garner in Butter, a comedy which premiered at Toronto.
A director has not yet been announced for Olivia Twisted.
The film will combine Dickensian elements with a Gothic backdrop, Variety said.
